CLAASE, Janine
Janine Claase (b.1992 South Africa) is an artist based in Hong Kong who produces photography and video works through performance, intervention and social practice. She is currently in her final year at Hong Kong Art School completing a BFA in Photography. Her background is in teaching & fashion, where she developed a critical eye for cultural and social perception. Her most recent group show was held at Harbour City Gallery which included other young Hong Kong artists. This year (2018) she was a recipient of the Outstanding Performance Scholarship (Hong Kong) for her academic and artistic achievements.
