呂凱兒 LUI, Jocelyn

Before Jocelyn LUI earned her MA in Fashion and Textile from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. she completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Photography and a Professional Diploma in Fine Art both in Hong Kong.
Jocelyn is a lens-based visual artist with fashion design background. Her artwork engaged in photography, media, sound art, collage, textile art, and ceramics. Jocelyn’s varied background helps her to reconstruct childhood memories associated with the transformations in life, seen as a self-healing process that is metaphorically linked to nature. In 2023, Jocelyn held her solo exhibition ‘The Wings of the Wind’ at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, additionally she was also awarded a grant under the Emerging Artists Scheme and the Culture Exchange Project Grant to Czech for exhibition both form the Hong Kong Art Development Council. In 2024, Jocelyn started engaging in the local community in charge of curating an art project for an NGO for their art exhibition.
呂凱兒於獲得香港理工大學時裝及紡織碩士學位之前,已於香港先後 取得美術專業文憑 以及當代攝影深造文憑。現為時裝設計師,同時 從事攝影、媒體、聲音藝術、拼貼、紡織藝術和陶瓷。其多元背景有 助她重建與生命轉折相關的童年記憶,視為與自然有象徵式聯繫的自我療癒過程。2023年於香港視覺藝術中心舉辦個展「The Wings of the Wind」。同年她還獲得了香港藝術發展局新苗資助計劃和文化交流計劃資助赴捷克參展。呂凱兒於2024年開始參與社區藝術項目, 負責為一所香港非牟利機構及慈善團體組織及策劃藝術展。
