Sun at midnight - it is a veil of dark tenderness, translucent and out in the distance. An everlasting presence that transcends existence. Galaxies of time to traverse, yet ever inching closer and insistent.
Embracing the remnants of the sun in one’s mind, once intimately possessed of heat and light. Tonight, they set out in the darkness toward the other side of the horizon, in search of that light. Pursuing onwards; but anchored by memories of that last journey, carrying past rituals, let the obliterated soon be remembered on the trail of burning stars.
