The exhibition "20 Girls" was a more ambitious follow-up to another portrait project of the artist called "Warrior Girl" and was based around the outline of The Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most progressive blueprint adopted worldwide on the advancement of women's rights.
Featuring the distinctive war paint of "Warrior Girl" in the portraits of 20 girls who aged between four and eight, the photos would drive viewers to question what being a girl means, the issue of gender stereotypes and offer a stark contrast to the images that grace the choreographed happy snaps on the social media.
