黃振欽於香港浸會大學視覺藝術院碩士畢業，主修雕塑，平日的創作一直圍繞著人、物、空間，探索彼此間互相牽動的關係。他從村民對話中，聽到黃麂、穿山甲、箭豬等小動物經常穿梭於他們童年的生活當中，對於城市長大的他，這一切都是新奇、夢幻般的，所以是次創作他希望和村民一起塑造他們兒時記憶中的神獸，重新聯繫回憶中的牠。
